Surnames: Ignatz Lang
I believe the Ignatz you are refering to is my Great Grand Uncle. This is on my mother's side of the family tree. Her mom is Rosilie Ross who is Ignatz sister. I have a little information on him such as birth and death date and I will probably have more soon because I hear someone is compiling more information. So email me when you view this msg.
Thank you,

I grew up in Ellis, Kansas

A 1931 directory of Ellis & surrounding farms lists Ignatz Lang living a mile or so SW of Ellis with a wife Rosie. Childfren: Johnnie, Joseph, Kathryn, Bertha, Stells, Freddie.

"Iggie" was probably born ca 1880-1900.

Other Langs were Joe, Cacheus, Kilian, George and a Mrs. M.M. Lang. (a son Mike).

In the town of Ellis were John, Jacob and another Ignatz whose wife was Frances . This Ignatz was a retired fatmer in 1931.

One Lang used to set broken bones although I do not think he was a genuine doctor.

In 1926, members of St. Marys Catholic Chyrch were these Langs - Joseph, Ignatius Sr and Jr, Michael, George, Leo, Frank, JohnJ., Jacob, Louis, Mrs. Daniel. (maybe the M.M. of 1931).

Ignatz was probably a shorter version of Ignatius.

Thee older ones were probably Germans from Russia ("Volga Germans").
