I'm doing a family tree for my children and my husband and his father really don't know much about their family trees. SO, all I know about my husband's side is that his dad's name is Richard. His grandfather's name was Arthur. Arthur died on 4/15/1999. Arthur's wife was Lorraine (Bulau). Arthur's mother's maiden name was Steffen. I think Arthur's father's name might have been August married to Martha Steffen, but I'm not positive. Sorry, that's all I know! Anything more on this would be wonderful!! : )
thanks a bunch!

I am fairly new to Ancestry.com and noticed your post of 3 Jul 2006 about Arthur Milbrandt. He was my mother's 1st cousin and my granduncle. His parents were August Milbrandt and Martha Steffen. I have found on the Minnesota Official Marriage System that Arthur was married to Lorraine Elling on the 15th of April 1952 in Meeker County, Minnesota, and since he was born in 1917 he probably was married prior to 1952. Was he married to someone surnamed Bulau prior to this?
