I too am a desendent of a Quinton Hollowell Trotman, through his son John Calvin (my g-g grandfather). What do you want to know? I have some information, but I have come accross no information regarding a daughter named Amelia, we may be related though as some records have been lost. write back

With Quinton being his first name, I'm sure he must be named after my Quinton Trotman. A rough guess says he was born in the late 1700's. His mother was Amelia Dozier and father Ezekiel Trotman. Amelia's father was Peter Dozier (I think he fought in the Revolutionary War and was a French Huguenot). Quinton had a daughter named after his mother, Amelia. Amelia married Henry Wynn Baker and had Andrew. Andrew Baker married Marry Frances Spence and had James Augustus Baker (my grandfather). Do any of these names sound familiar? Linda

Linda,

My great-great grandfather was Henry (Harry) Baker who married Permelia Trotman on March 1, 1838. She is buried on the farm where they lived which I now own in Perquimans County, NC. I have also seen her name spelled Pamelia, but never without the P. Do you have any documentation? The date of marriage is from the Baker Family Bible. The marriage bond on Chowan County, NC shows Feb. 28, 1838. I would be interested in any information you have.
