(Mr.) January CARPENTER / Waupaca Co. WI / 1860-1880

Looking for information about January CARPENTER, who was born about 1825 in Baden, and was enumerated in the Waupaca Co. WI censuses of 1860, 1870, and 1880. It appears that he married twice: first about 1857 to Emily, who was born about 1833 in Prussia, and second between 1865 and 1870 to Wilhelmina, who was born about 1847 in Prussia. A marriage record for January CARPENTER to either wife would be very much appreciated, also a divorce or annulment record for January and first wife Emily -- it appears that they may have separated about 1865. Her name possibly could have been Frederika Emily or something similar. January CARPENTER may also have gone by the surname ZIMMERMANN at some time. Thanks in advance.

I was helping someone else with this one - thanks for the information.

I mentioned that he may have gone by the name Zimmermann because he was of Germanic origin so his surname may have been Zimmermann in earlier records.
