I need help on these three families all of whom were in Cleburne Co. in 1880. John W. Martin and his wife Susan (Pence) were in the Bordens area for the census. Their children were John Henry Martin and (Naomi) Jane Martin. John Henry Martin who was born in 1878 married Endie Ann Whitten in Cleburne Co. on Oct. 29, 1897. Endie was the daughter of Benjamin Whitten and Nancy C. Lokey who were married in Cleburne Co. on Nov. 30, 1876. I am trying to find the parentage of John W. Martin, Benjamin Whitten, and Nancy C. Lokey.

Laney, I am sure you will find that there is a connection to the Pitts/Smith family here. The Lokey's got connected to them way back in Troup County, Georgia. Ornan Whatley married Sara Jane Lokey.
Ornan had also been married to Matilda Pitts and his sister was Elizabeth Whatley who married James Pitts of Newberry, SC. See the postings by Tommy Griffin on this board. He also has a Lokey.
I saw connections to the Martin family in his line as well.
