I am searching for details about the Paul Bauer family of Lima, Pepin County, Wisconsin (1880). There are two Paul Bauer families in this town, to make things complicated; my great-great grandfather Paul Bauer's wife is Anna and both he and his wife were born in Austria c. 1830s. He had at least two children, Josephine and Borgia (born mid-1800s in Austria). On the 1880 Census, Paul is living next door to Andrew Bauer, born 1857-ish, and his wife Hannah (19 years old). I suspect Andrew is a son, but there are so many Bauers in this town that it's difficult to say. Paul's family arrived some time in the 1870s possible from a town called "Anstra." (I have never heard of the town either... help?)
I have information about his daughter Josephine's family (4 boys, Frank, John, Henry and Charles Meixner) to share.

My grandfather, Johannes Edward brunner's sister - Josephine Brunner (18 March 1841 - 1932) married Jospeh Volger. Their first daughter Johanna Volger married Joseph D. Bauer.
Their son Leopold Volger Married Theresa Weiss. They had a daughter Hannah Volger who married Ed Bauer and a daughter Angela Volger who married John Meixner. Their daughter Anna Marie Volger married M. Robert Bauer

If I haven't already, I will try adding all this to my family tree. Katie Kyndely
