I am looking for any and all info on John Lafayette Adair, born in GA, died in I.T., in 1859. Will appreciate anything at all.

Do you mean the John Lafayette Adair (7/22/1826-2/11/1861) that md Elizabeth Alabama Schrimsher?

Yes. That would be him. I am looking for any and all info on him. I am a descendant of his by another wife.

I just found your message, and am aware you may have found your answers by now, but just in case I thought I would give you the small amount of information I have. This is not my line. Joh Lafayette Adair, born about 1822, son of Samuel Adair and Edith Pounds. Samuel Adair born about 1781 in Bartow Co. GA. died abt 1836, he married 1st Margaret Deeson about 1798. She was born abt 1781 in GA. and died abt 1851. He then married Edith Pounds abt 1811. She was born abt 1785 in GA. and died bef 1835. Samuel Adair on the 1835 Census Roll: Oothcaloga Cr. Cass Co. GA. 2 males under 18, 1 female under 16 and 2 females over 16. Samuel was 3/4 Cherokee, of the Deer Clan.

Please get with me on the adair family. I have some info not much. Samuel Adair Margaret deeson having 6 kids: samuel jr,walter,andrew,charotte,margarett,catherine. I am also looking for the sixkiller side. thanks
