----- Delania Brooke Embry, stillborn, Thursday, August 19, 1982 at the Grayson County Hospital. Parents are Gary Embry and Carolyn Burden Embry. / Survivors include one sister, Kara Jo Embry and one brother, Clayton Embry of Rt. 2 Morgantown. Maternal grandparents, Opal and Rose Burden, maternal great grandmother, Cloa Jackson, paternal grandmother, Betty Embry, paternal great grandmother, Michie Burden. / Funeral services were held August 22, 1982 at the Zion Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Clayton Stevenson officiating, with interment in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home. (from the 08/26-82 issue of the Grayson County News-Gazette)

----- Ed Embry, 64, of 713 North Main, Leitchfield, passed away Thursday, April 4, 1985 at this home. / A retired well driller, Embry served one term as State Representative after his election in 1956, and served as city clerk of the City of Leitchfield from 1964 through 1974. / Embry was a World War II Army veteran, who was stationed in England and saw active duty in Tunisia, Africa and Anzio, Italy. / He was the son of Wilford and Hannah Woosley Embry, both who predeceased him, and was married to the former Ruth Lee, who survives. / Survivors other than his wife of Leitchfield are four sons, Kenneth Edward Embry, M.D., of Louisville; Rick, Mark and Dwight Embry, all of Leitchfield; one daughter, Linda Dinell of Ft. Thomas, Ky.; three brothers, Ralph and Eck Embry, both of Leitchfield and Dale Embry of Louisville; one sister, Maggie Miller of Louisville, and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margie King, and two brothers, Sheridan and Rodney Embry. / Funeral services were held April 7, 1985 at Watkins Chapel with interment in Walnut Hill Cemetery. This is the third time I've tried to get the rest of these obituaries for Embry to you. I get them written up and try to send them off and I get the message that my computer can't find the server. Consequently, I lose everything I've put in. It's so frustrating. <smile> Will try again with fewer obituaries. Maybe they will go trhough this time.
