The oldest known walker relative is a Sam Walker, slave on the Avoca Plantation. Sam married Judith Dearing, also a slave. They had a lot of children. I am specifically trying to locate Isiah Walker. I cannot locate where and when he died.
I also have not been able to find my grandfather's two brothers. One is James Herman Walker, son of William and Addie Smith Walker. The other one is Saint John walker born 1897. He just went by Saint, but may have changed that. Or legend has it he was lynched, but in secret as his father ran the power plant on the Pigg River and was very influential in Rocky Mount.

I have not heard any of the names you listed. Have you tried FamilySearch.com? They have good information and the site is free. I have found a lot of my information here on Ancestry.com as well. Good luck in your search.

Hello Karen,
My name is Renee. I tried to send an email to you at the address you listed but it came back as undeliverable.
My maternal grandmother was a Walker. Her parents were Mary Ransom Walker and Matthew Walker. As far as I can tell Matthew's father was Harrison Walker. They were from Mecklenburg County in Virginia.
Who are your Walker ancestors?
