Shannon,

Do you know what Walters middle name was, as I have a Walter Denson Howze that is a relation to me, I know that he died in Livingston Parish, Louisiana in 1896. Could this be the one that you are referring to?

Shannon,

Do you have any family (Howze)that live in Holden, or Livingston Parish? If you have any family that live in Livingston parish, then I know for sure that we are related, as the Howze family was and some still are located there. My grandmother was married to Issac Rudolph Howze, she was Katie Floretha McDowell-Ballard-Howze (what a long name, huh?) they had roughly about nine children. My mom's name is Vermie Idee Howze-Ridder. If you need anymore information, you can reach me through my email - dridder_43@yahoo.com

Hi Shannon,
Just stumbled upon your post...My Daddy was Roy Nelson Howze...his daddy was Groover Nelson Howze; Groover's brothers were D. C. Howze; Clyde Howze; Walter Howze....anyway Clyde and Walter lived in Alabama while I was growing up..but D.C. lived in Stockton GA when he died...Daddy went to his funeral...We used to go and visit with Clyde and his family alot while growing up...we did see Walter and then seems like to me there was another brother who was a real womanizer...can't think of his name but I can assure that my mom know everything about this family...she and my daddy starting dating while in 4th grade in Adel, GA...my grandaddy Groover Howze worked on the police force in Adel...anyway it is nice to see that someone is interested in researching my family...let me hear from you...I know my mom can tell you so much more than you can find on this internet..Kathy Howze Lewis
