Indian Heritage in Moreland line?
I am tryng to find out if there is Indian in the Moreland family line.
If you can help please email me.
I have a Davis H. Moreland in Tennessee around 1841. I am not sure of his birth year, yet.
He married Delielah(Dilly) Olinger there that year.
Monica: Yes there are Cherokee connections in the Moreland line. I'm looking for a Will Moreland who had a Cherokee mother in Arkansas. He died about 1925-29. Can you help me? Rose
Hi. I don't know if I have anything you can use.
There is a William Moreland in the most recent info I have
but the mother may not be the same.
I will be happy to send you what I have. Maybe we can come up
with something together. I just found out some of this stuff myself so
if you can help me pin down some info I would be most greatful.
keep in touch!
Monica: Thank you for answering my note. Yes, I would be interested in your material.
There were several children that died and about five or six that lived. Several marriages, and then the father died in 1929, when they changed the name to Morlan and moved to the west coast. They also have cherokee native american background on the paternal side. Thank you. Rose.
I have a William listed in ly stuff but I can seem to locate your email
