Hi All,
I'm looking for information on James Carter Wooten (1/6/1835 - 6/11/1906). Fought in 1st Tennessee Light Artillery (Battery B)during Civil War. Buried at Deep Creek Friends Meeting in Yadkin County, NC. May have been involved at School House Shooting incident in Yadkin County in Feb, 1863.

Married Mary Ann Mackie (8/20/1835-12/31/1913) on 9/1/1859. Children:

Margaret Permilia Ann Wooten (b. 1/3/1861)
Robert Willson Wooten (b. 10/8/1862)
James Henry Crawford Wooten (b. 8/2/1866)
Janice Melvina Wooten (b. 8/2/1866 twin of J.H)
Jasper Anderson Wooten (b. 1/25/1869)
Melita Catherine Wooten (b. 8/25/1871)
Nathan Wilburn Wooten (b. 11/2/1873)
Fanny Wooten (???)

I'm interested in pushing back one more generation from James Carter and Mary Ann.

Thanks,

Jim Wooten
