My ancestors, James and Stacy Hammons Broughton, left Floyd County, KY and moved to Boone County, Arkansas after 1860.
They were followed by their daughter, Susannah, who was married to Marshall Hubbard after 1880. I have no idea as to why they moved to Arkansas. I am looking for any of their descendants.

I have since found that James Hammons married a CAtherine Bishop after 1877 so Stacy must have died. Any assistance
appreciated. New e-mail address of k495071@yahoo.com

James and Stacy Hammons did not move to Arkansas. Stacy died in Floyd County, KY about 1863. James died in Floyd County about 1889. Their daughter, Susannah, and her husband, Marshall Hubbard, were the ones who moved to Arkansas. I don't know their dates of death. They left Floyd County, KY for Boone County, Arkansas about 1891.

James Hammons died in Floyd County, KY in 1889.. His wife, Stacy Broughton Hammons, died there about 1863.
James married Catherine Bishop 4-1865. They never left Floyd County, KY. It was James and Stacy's daughter and son-in-law, Marshall and Susannah Hubbard, who moved from Floyd County, KY to Boone County, Arkansas about 1891 as that's when they sold their property in Floyd County, KY.
