To: Vicki Maxwell.....Got your message on Flemisters...My father was William Dunbar Flemister he died in 1995 and was re married to my step mother Leona Geringer from Bessie OK which is where he is burried. My Mother was Mary Louise West and the died this year. I know about Elizabeth and Julie but have never met either one of them.....My father was adopted by his fathers brother shortly after his birth. I have all of the historical information which should make you eligible for the DAR if you have the inclination. It all seems to be a big dark mystery......I live in Columbia Maryland so please contact me either through my e-mail patevans@home.com or mail 10759 Cordage Walk, Columbia, MD 21044 would be delighted to hear from you. Also I worked with a lady who was married to a Flemister--they are from the Georgia area and now live here in this area....Have lost contact ..with a little effort I could find them....her husband (Flemister) looked exactly like my father..it was amazing.....Hope to hear from you soon....I will be out of town from the 29th Dec. and returning on the 6/7th of Jan. Hi Judy...I am the daughter of William Dunbar Flemister --White side...His parents were Linton West Flemister and Elizabeth Dunbar. He was born in Louisville, KY, I actually have a cousin/ aunt (not sure) named Judy Flemister (maiden name) and she
lives in Dallas. Edward Flemister was my Father's 1/2 brother. My it is interesting about the missionary and Belgium piece. I have been unable to find out anything about the european ancestors. I am sure somewhere everyone is connected somehow. I have a cousin (that I have not met Vicki Maxwell whom I met on the internet..she lives in Tyler TX and her mother Elizabeth (now 88) was my Fathers sister. He had another sister Julia who lives in southern California and I have never met her either. From what I can find out from Vicki..My grandfather Linton had 5 or 6 siblings....James (who adopted my father) Edmund, A.G., Oscar..no one can seem to remember the rest. Also there were a lot of Flemisters related to me from around the Dalton, GA area. Don't know if any of this information is useful. I live in Columbia, MD..please keep in touch I will do the same Pat

Surnames: Flemister
We are Flemisters from Georgia. My mom's maiden name is Flemister. There was a faction between the color lines of
Flemisters and 1 faction moved to Rome GA, and Paulding
County. I do know they migrated westward from Virginia with a Doctor Sweet either during Civil War or shortly afterwards. We have found relatives in Tennessee, Michigan,
Madison and Monore GA.

Let's talk
