I am looking for any information about Elizabeth Howe. I have found a n ElizabethHowe in My family born and died the same years as Elizabeth Howe of Salem . Mine lived in a distance from Salem and I am not 100% it is the same family. Mine was related to James Redfyn. Anything would be interesting. Iam also kinda of the impression I might also be related to Abigail Williams . Just a hunch . I have not proven a connection that far back in my Williams family yet. My father says we are related to Roger Williams I do not know if there was any relation to Abigail through him or not?

Can you give me the dates you have for your Elizabeth? My husband's 8th great grandmother was Rebecca Nurse who was hung with Elizabeth Howe in Salem. I have a bit of info on Elizabeth and her family.

I have Elizabeth Howe born in 1648 in New London Connecticut married in 1669 and died either in 1693 or 1698. I wonder if she was a cousin or a neice? I have not done very much research this far back in the family yet.

Who did your Elizabeth marry? The dates for the Elizabeth Howe I have do not match your dates, but there were so many Howe's who married Howe's and a number of Elizabeths:)

Do you have a descedancy chart for James and Elizabeth? I am descendant of this family, but am not quite sure where I fit in yet. I would be willing to share what I have.

Thanks!

Elizabeth (Jackson) Howe was christened on 14 May 1637
in the Parish of Rowley, Yorkshire, England. She came to
America as a servant in the household of Ezekiel Rodgers,
founder and first minister of Rowley, Mass.
She married James Howe of Ipswich 13 April 1658. He was
bap. in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, England on
23 March 1633.
The complete genealogy from there is a book by Rev. Daniel
Wait Howe. tiltled Howe Genealogies. You can get it on microfilm from the LDS Family History Center. It is very
complete. Very few copies were printed however.
My wife is descended from Elizabeth Howe down through
nine generations of Howe surname until her mother broke
the chain and married a Jackson(no relation to the original
Jackson in Rowley, York).
Please contact me at gleavew@peak,org for further references
on Elizabeth Howe or to share information.

i am distantly related to elizabeth (jackson) howe's husband through the dane family as i am descended from the first cousin to james howe, jr.: john dane, the juror, or as i dub him, john dane, 3rd. james howe, jr.'s first cousin once removed [and the youngest son to john dane, the juror], nahtaniel dane, sr., through his second wife anna (lowe) dane; nathaniel and his second wife are my eight-times-great grandparents. i know that james howe, jr., and his wife, elizabeth (jackson) howe, had five children, but the two daughters, abigail and mary, died as spinsters helping their blind father take care of their mother before, on 19 july 1692, she was hanged along with four others.

My wife's line is:

James How(e) (Jr) m Elizabeth Jackson
John Howe m Hannah ___
James Howe m Hannah Faulkner
James Howe m Jemina Farnum
Isaac Howe m Lois ( Stevens) Ayer
Isaac Howe m Hannah Sawyer
Calvin Howe m Isabel Elder
Alice Josephine Howe m Elmer Horace Jackson
Laura E. Jackson m William Gleaves

Much of this info was verified in the publication "Howe
Genealogy" by Rev Daniel Wait Howe available on microfilm
through the Morman Family History Centers.

Elizabeth Jackson came to America as a 14 year-old servant
in the household of Mr. Ezekiel Rogers to establish the
Rogers Plantation ifn Rowley, MASS. She apparently was
not an indentured servant. This was apparently 1639.
