Louise and Willard Cresong are in Saraland Alabama. Their phone number is (334) 675-4984. She might be able to help in your search.. Good Luck. Also Mary Kraddocks in West Virginia might help- (304)855-3513. Hope this helps.

Yes,
My grandfather was Dan Cresong. My father was Ed. originally from East Lynn, W.Va. Gladys was my grandfathers sister. I am
trying to locate my family because my father never told me much. I have contacted quite a few relatives thus far. My grandmother Milly may know more about Gladys. I will contact her this evening. Anything sound familiar to Homer? I do know that diabetes runs in the Cresong side. My dad, grandfather and Uncle Doug all had it.
My grandfather died from pancreas cancer. I am not sure what is on the Manns side.... I will let you know more when I hopefully get some answers... Keep in touch.. Eddy

Not sure if there's any relation, but thought I'd give it a shot. My Dad, Ersel Manns was born on Harts Creek and moved to Branchland. His Dad was Vester Manns. Vester had a sister named Millie that was dead at birth. Obviously that's not the same Millie, but mabye there's a tie somewhere. Vester Manns was the son of Willie and Emma Manns. He was the son of John and Sara [Maynard] Manns. John later married Emily Manns. John may have adopted Willie, but my research hasn't found anything, but there's an old family rumor. Please ask your relatives if they know any these Manns'.

I sure will and keep this in mind for your family.Mellroy's grandaughter proclaims mellroy was adopted by a Tom Smith also in that area,so maybe some of your family remember a manns boy raised by the smith's.

I have family in Wayne County, WV and in Lincoln County, WV. My Dad's name is Ersel Manns. His dad was Vester Manns. Vester's Dad was Willy Manns. Willy's Dad was John Manns and John's dad was William. That's as far as i could find, but there's plenty of Manns in and around Wayne county. What is the genetic heart and lung disease?

I will have to ask my husbands mother the exact name, but it its effect is mainly causes the heart na dlungs to become off sync. beat against each other more or less.Homer Manns, my father in law died of this my husbands half sister is in her late 30's now and going though the same thing. We sent Homer's medical records to her doctor so they could try and treat it for her. Husband is 29 and starting to have some of the symptoms of his father. He has high blood pressure and has had it since 23.None were over weight , all under 160lbs and around 6ft tall, so no weight comtributing to it, they do not smoke, drink or anything.I Will find out the exact name.We have some cousins we do know of in wayne- lincoln counties. Our family cemetary is in Ranger. The family owned a cabin and small farm on 10 mile near ranger.Last anything new I did find out was from an Aunt of my husbands whom was the grandchild of Mellroy was he was raised by some adkins in Ranger for unknown reasons and thus thats why its hard to come up with an exact date of birth or parents. She said the family home burnt and took all records of his family with it.I hope to someday brake through this wall and find his out whom his parents where and fill my family tree.

Well, I'm in the military. I'm stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, but i'm in Djibouti, Africa [by the Red Sea] for 6 months.
Have had some health issues lately when I'm excersing, but not sure about the connection.
I have family in Harts, Branchland, and West Hamlin. I grew up in Fairmont near my mom's family.

I've heard a rumor that I haven't been able to figure out that my great grandfather Willy Manns, son of John Manns, may have been adopted or it could've been one of his brothers. Either I haven't talked to the right folks or they don't want to say. My Dad's name is Ersel Manns and his dad was Vester Manns. Vester, my grandfather, died on Green Shoals Mountain working for state road when the salt truck he was driving slid on ice and went over the mountain.

Thanks for replying. I'll be traveling for a few days or so in another country. Thank you.
