A few years ago one of my mother's cousins traced our Baisden family tree which originated in North Carolina. We printed it out, but have lost the print out. Does anyone know how we can get another copy. My mother is Edna Baisen daughter of Pearlie Baisden who lived in Coffee county, ga

Tanya, that was me that did the Baisden family tree of our particular branch that came out of Duplin County, N.C.. I am on my way out of country right now, but before leaving home I completed my book, in the form of a cd. It has about 500 pages including photographs. I made copies of the cd that are to be distributed at the family reunion in Douglas, GA the first Sunday of August, 2005. I am giving permission for family members to make copies for other family members, so if you can't be there try to find someone who is there and have them make you a copy. I think the reunion is to be at the Elks (or Moose?) club on North Peterson Avenue.

Tony, how can I get a copy of your Baisden family book?
I had planned to go to the reunion but work prevented it.
Do you have any information regarding the Basden travels from the Carribean islands to burmuda and then to the USA.
I am still searching for the ancestors of OLE John Schmidt
Baisden. Appreciate any help you can provide, Doug

Doug, sorry to take so long to find your message, but I changed email servers and probably never got notified of your message. The roots of my Baisden family is pretty murky. I'm not even sure how we were related to the other Baisens/Basdens of Duplin and nearby Onslow County, North Carolina, much less who my Baisdens were descended from. My ancester was Alfred Baisden, whose mother was a Nancy Baisden. Alfred and his brothers all fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War. I won't be home until January, but if you would like a copy of the cd I made I would be glad to send you one, but I don't think it will help in your research unless you happen to be out of our branch of "lost" Baisdens.

Connie, if you read my message to Doug you'll see that I know little about how my branch of Baisdens are connected to the others. Sorry I can't help you.

Hi, Connie If you go to GenCircles and put Jefferson Baisden into the global search, you will find your answers. BTW, James Riley was my ggrand uncle. Or put in James Baisden and spouse Johnson. I am here if you need more information.
Also if you would like, subscribe to the Logan Co mailing list on Rootsweb. Lots of our relatives there.

I am the grandaughter of the late Owen and Bessie Basden. He was the son of Owen W. Basden and Kate Brinson, also of Duplin County. My childhood was spent in Duplin County and I still have relatives there. I would love to have a copy of the cd of the family history and would be willing to exchange info with you.
