My Grandfather cut himself off from his family. He was born in Stetson Corner Maine. Most of the Allens I have found are from other towns in Maine. Can someone give me a little history of the Allen families in Maine in the 1800's. I have an oral history that says His father had trotting horses and kept them in Ohio. Were their a number of Allen families that came to Maine? Were they related to Allen's in Massachusetts? I have DNA matches to Allen surnames in Massachusetts.
Thanks
Albert Allen Hulse
