Matthias Kostka,b.06 Nov 1837, d.08 Sep 1919, settled in the Town of Pierce & Town of Casco, is buried in the Slovan Catholic Cemetery, Slovan. His wife was Anna Hruska who was b. 10 Jan 1838 & d. 22 Nov 1919. Am looking for the village(s) in Bohemia where this couple originated. They came to USA via NY in 1865. Their children were: Mary (1865), Anna (1867) (Thomas Blahnik), Katherina (1868) (John Houdek), Frances (1869) (Wencil Krivanek). Joseph (1870) (Mary ------), Wencil (1874) (Mary Pavlat), Frank (1876) (Mary Stangel), Antonia (1877) (Frank Hlinak), Christina (1879) (Charles Musil), Anton (1882) (Alvina Pavlat) All of the above were living in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin.

Anna and Thomas were my grandmother Agnes Blahnik's parents.
She married Leander Blahnik, son of Joseph Blahnik and Theresa Kumbra.
Do you need any info on the Blahniks?

I am not following the Blahnik lines. Anna Kostka Blahnik is my wife's great aunt. We visited the Kostka, Stangel, Blahnik homeland villages in the Czech Republic in 1998. We conversed at that time with Joel Blahnik from Fish Creek who has made many trips to the old country. Anna Kostka was born in Budenin, Czech Republic which is about 20 miles south of Prague (about half way to Tabor). Thanks much for your offer.

Michel Salentine(Also known as Salentiny) born 1774 Died Feb 8, 1821 Eschdorf, Luxembourg; wed Elizabeth Bender--Children: Andre, Gregoire, Margarete. Gregor Salentine born 28 Sept. 1812 wed Anna(Maria) Wahl 8 Oct.1834. Moved to America soon after 1855. Gregor Salentine died in Luxemburg,WI Kewaunee County (St. Mary) 20 Nov. 1904. Gregor and Anna had 8 children (Elizabeth, Johann, Catharine, Anna, Anna Maria, Magdalena, Catherina, and Nikolaus. Hope this helps. If you need more info. plelase contact.
