I have a James Harrison Oberdorf, May 31 1879

son of John George Oberdorf 1856-1941 and
Chrisitian Aikey 1861-1940... could that be him?

I'm still deciphering, and do not have all the Aikey information entered into the computer, but I am working on it.

My GG Grandfather was Lewis A. Aikey and he was from Union County and fought in the Civil War in the 51st PA along with Zachariah and Jeramiah Aikey. I know that Jeramiah's mother was Lavina from his pension record. I am hoping that someone has more information on this Aikey family. There were not many in Union County and so I am assuming we are related in someway. I also found a Lewis Aikey in 1814 militia of Union County and died 22 Apr 1862 at age 73. HE lived in West Buffalo. Could we have a connection? You can reach me at Eckert68@aol.com

Hello Donna,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, my Lewis Aikey was born in Mazeppa, Union County, PA and lived in West Buffalo with his parents. After marriage, he moved to Centre County. Do you have info on the Aikey Family? I know Lewis Aikey that you are talking about was in the 1812 War. I know he is connected to my Lewis A. Aikey but I do not know how yet. Mine was born about 1846 and fought in the Civil War. Do you have info on the Aikey family? Please write me at Eckert68@aol.com Thank you. David

Hello Donna,

Could you respond to me at Eckert68@aol.com. I would love to share information on the Aikey Family. I have been researching my GG Grandfather, Lewis Aikey. I have been trying to find out who his father and mother were. Any help would be greatful. He fought in the Civil War with the famous 51st PA Regiment and we have his birth year around 1846.
