Seeking any information on either Herman Jacob or Godfield Arn. Herman Jacob Arn lived in Pennsylvania and the resisdence of Godfield is unknown.

Don't know if this is relevant or not, but there was a Johann Gottfried Arens/Arends in Lincoln County NC in the 1790 and 1800 censuses. I am researching a similar name sometimes spelled Arndt or Arn and it is listed as Orm on the index for 1790 census. John Gottfried apparently was from Hanover, Germany and came over in the mid 1780s, I believe, to teach school for the German community in North Carolina and was ordained; apparently also a physician. You can google the name and pull up information if you are interested.
