Does anyone know of a name change from Damour to Poitevin. I am looking in Quebec Canada around 1790 for a Charles Poitevin dit Damore. Hope you can help!

I know there is a Charles Damour dit Poitevin who married in Pointe-Claire in 1810. His father was Toussaint Damour dit Poitevin and married in Ste-Genevieve in 1766. The Grandfather of Charles was Jacques-Joseph Damour Poitevin and married in 1733.
