Do you have an idea as to what state your Fehring ancestor immigrated to? I have an Adelhaide listed in my tree but she is not the one you are looking for but I have found that my family has a "knack" for naming their children after relatives so maybe there is a connection. William Huseman and Mary A(i think the A. stands for Adelhaid)lived in Ripley county,Indiana. They came from germany, he came from Prussia and she came from Hanover.
They had 8 children all together but the census records that i found didn't show all eight. I believe that only 4 remained living. They were married on April 15,1867 in Ripley county, Indiana.

My GGGrandfather, Kasimir Heinrich Fehring, was from Hanover also. He married Anna Gertrude Lampe sometime around 1860 which is also the time they immigrated to this country. They are living in Clinton Co IA on the 1860 census. They have 8 kids which includes a daughter named Maria Adelhaid (Alice). Heinrich and your Adelhaid could be related as they come from the same area.
