MY NAME IS DICK HAMMERLY AND THE FRAILEY YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT WAS MY GRANDMOTHER. I DID NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT HER. I BELIEVE SHE DIED SOMETIME IN THE 1940'S OR EARLY 1950'S. I CAN REMEMBER WHEN SHE DIED. I WAS ABOUT EIGHT OR NINE. I LIVED WITH MY GRANDMOTHER ON MY MOM'S SIDE. WE ONLY LIVED WITH MY GRANDMOTHER TILL I WAS ABOUT 12. I'M 67 SO I KNOW IT WAS NOT IN 1972 AS YOU HAVE POSTED. MY DAD'S NAME WAS ADAM J HAMMERLY. THE HAMMERLY'S HAD 2 BOYS AND, I BELIEVE, 4 GIRLS. BOYS WERE JOHN AND ADAM. GIRLS WERE MARION, BETTY, EVELYN, AND THE LAST ONE ESCAPES ME. I DID NOT KNOW THAT SIDE OF THE FAMILY VERY WELL. I BELIEVE THEY HAVE ALL DIED. I ALSO KNOW THAT GRANDMA FRAILEY WAS CALLED DADE. I WISH THAT I KNEW MORE. IT IS INTERESTING TO KNOW WHERE THEY CAME FROM AND HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN IN THE USA. HISTORY IS INTERESTING. THANKS DICK HAMMERLY

Hi Dick,
I am also a grandchild of Jeanette Frailey (daughter of Eleanor). Jeanette had 7 children and the two you couldn't remember are Margaret and Eleanor. Elizabeth "Betty" is the only survivor. She just had her 80th birthday and she lives in Greenwood, Indiana. She sings in the church choir and still drives her car.
I never met Jeanette because she must have died around the time I was born in 1948, according to your statistics. Do you have the name of Jeanette's mother as Mary Mathews? Do you know the name of John Joseph's mother?
You are right about history--it is fun!
