Am interested in information about the people and not just dates. My family goes back to Arthur Hardesty b. 1605, in Hampswaite Yorkshire, England, married Dorothie (last name unknown), rest of lineage is Thomas, Francis, Robert, Thomas,Aquilla, James Madison, George W., William Butler, and his daughter was my grandmother, Olive Lena Hardesty. Sound familiar to anyone? Would love to chat if it does.

Dorise,
My husband's grandmother was named Olive Hardesty. I think her maiden name was Polling. She was married to Ralph Hardesty they lived in Lima, Ohio. Is this the same Olive?

Was your Olive Hardesty born in Keokuk, Iowa? If so, I have a connection.

I'm trying to connect my lineage and I have a Great X 8 Grandfather named William Hardisty, born about 1580 of Hampsthwaite, York, England. The only child (that I know of) is Arthur, born about 1605, he had 6 children, Mary, Anne, William, John, Thomas Sarah. And much more info from there on. Do you think this Arthur and "your" Arthur could be the same? Also, I have the spelling of Hardisty (with and "i") until 1757, when it changed to Hardesty (with and "e"). I would love to get any info you have, and am always willing to share any info of mine!

Please contact with any info-

I have some info where you can find Arthur's father and other info about the lineage. William is about 9 greats grandfather. My family descended from Richard, Robert, Francis, etc.

Surnames: Hardesty, Juttenlocker
Feb. 19, 1903 - 100 years ago - Laura L. Hardesty and G.H. Juttenlocker married. This came from the Keokuk Daily Gate City.

I am not related but I think the name Juttenlocker is quite an unusual name.

Thank you. Yes, that is the Huttenlocker, not Juttenlocker family, originally from Germany, and also from Des Moines, IA. They lived in quite the mansion in downtown Des Moines at one time.
