Can anyone help?

I am looking for any information on Edward Peter Heasman who was married to my grandmother Mabel Annie Heasman. In 1903 they lived in Bowling Alley in Aylesford, Kent and had a daughter Annie Margaret. I think by 1939 Edward had died but I have not been able to find any other information on him.
or when and where they were married.

Thanks

Hi Michael

Sorry I have not be able to trace this person at all. I have spent much time visiting Aylesford and family the records centre but there does not appear to be any record of him. Although I have him named on my grandmothers death (she died in 1939)certficate as her late husband and that he was the father of my aunt named Annie. Does any of this ring a bell with you. They also lived in Penge SE20 which is South East London and they may have had connection with Newton Abbott near Torquay on the South Coast of England. I would be most interested if any this does ring any bells with you.
Regards Barbara

Mabel Heaseman was arguably one of the first casualties of the "Blitz", having been knocked down during the blackout by a No 75 bus in Parish Lane, on the border between Beckenham and Penge. If I read the newspaper report correctly, it was actually at 11.30pm on Friday 1st September, though the UK didn't declare war until 3rd. She died in Beckenham Hospital. Reported in the Beckenham Journal, 9-Sep-1939 p3.
