Steven KADOW - Germany > Wisconsin
Steven Kadow (1832 - 1916) married Mary OSZYK in 1865 in the Polish region of Germnay. They immigrated to the US ~1866, settling in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Seeking contact with other researchers of this family line.

I have run across the Kadow surname but not in Poland. My Kadow ancestors come from Krien, Kreis (county) Anklam, Pommern, Prussia. The latest record I have for the family is in the 1700s. Coincidentally, there is also a village nearby named KADOW.

My great aunt Eunice Kadow lives in Manitowoc, WI today. Her brother Stanley Kadow is my grandfather and has since passed away.
May I ask why you are looking.

Adeline Kadow Ciha is the grandmother of my wife, Ann Ciha Leonard. We have researched most of our family lines, but have done very little on her Kadow family line and have few contacts with which to share information. Does your line connect with Chriatian or Steven Kadow?

There is only one branch of the Kadow family in Australia originating from three brothers - Christian, William and Joseph. My father is Christian Kadow born in 1919. I am fascinated to learn of other branches of the family. It was aparently a family trait to call the eldest son Christian and had been for many generations in Germany, however this tradition was not continued after my father. I am excited about learning any more about the family. Please resond.

I was looking up my Kadow relatives.
I am originally from Manitowoc, and my great grandfather was John Kadow, and last residence was at 1111Huron street, manitowoc, wi. He had three daughters, Grace, Leonore, and Edith. I am new at this family tree stuff. I don't know if this info is pertinent to you or not.
