Does anyone know about the Karhoff family in Skien in Telemark Norway? They were originally Dutch, I think, probably in the timber industry. This is going back to the end of the 1600s and right through the 1700s. I am interested in Wellum/Willum Karhoff who married my ancestor, Karen Trinepol, sometimes spelt Trinnepol.

The Trinepol family came from Horne in the Netherlands originally - I'd like to find out more about that line of the family but don't know how to go about searching for ancestors in Holland. Any tips?!

Yes I have some info on Willem Karhof born 1673
living in Skien, Telemark Norway. He was not a Norwegian
but an emigrant, from Germany (Frieoythe) with close ties
to Holland. He and his son Joost sent a letter of Credit
to a Notary in HOORN (nETHERLANDS).
He was a Stadschirurg, (Barber).

Have you got any information on the Karhoffs in Norway? wilhelm and Anna Karhoff are my ancestors - so is Giert Trinepol Karhoff - etc....) - my family comes from Tønsberg, Norway - with Segwarth as family name (my grandfather and a couple of his brothers changed from Hansen to Siegwarth in the beginning of 1900.)

Jeg lurer på om det er noen som vet noe om Condrup familien som bodde på en gård som heter Kondrup litt utenfor Randers.

Min forfedre, Søfren Christensen Condrup, utvandret til Porsgrunn i Norge rundt 1700, tror vi. Han giftet seg med Karen Trinepol fra det området som var fra en rik familie.

Jeg har lyst å finne ut mer om slekten og når han dro til Norge og info om faren, Christen (eller Christian?) Condrup.
