Many of my LeJeune ancestors are from the Pointe Coupe area. I think Emil LeJeune alos served the military in that area.

My name is Benny Dupre and my mother is a LeJeune. She is one of 10 children born to Joseph Ovide LeJeune and Evelina Andre'. They resided in the Maringouin/Fordoche area west of Baton Rouge in Pointe Coupee Parish. Children of this family are all still living ranging in age from 88- 65 (approximately). If I can be of any more help, please just email me and I will get in touch with my mother to get you more information that will prove to be more accurate. Dates, etc...

Benny,

My great grandmother was ROSE LEE LEJEUNE (b. about 1900) m. FELIX BONAVENTURE and was from the New Roads, La, or Chenal area. I have mostly been working on the BONAVENTURE name so haven't done much with LEJEUNE. Do you have any information? I don't have any other info on her except that I believe she was blind later in her life because of glaucoma.

Hello Benny:

I am related to the Lejeunes but in their
original habitat on this side of the Atlantic
-LeHeve, Acadia. Some of them moved up to
Cape Breton (Petit Bras d'Or area)and it is
that line that I am tracing, namely Jacques
LeJeune, son of Christophe LeJeune probably born
around the 1790's. Can you help me?

Agnes

Hi Agnes,
You may be able to get help from Gary Benoit's genealogy which includes Jacques LeJeune. Gary is from Newfoundland
