have you come accross the name Matusz, as a shortened form of your family name? I am looking for any of my grandmother's family. I have little to go on, some of the family was over around Pittsburgh, PA, about 1948. This was all my cousin remembered. Our parents and grandparents are gone and spoke very little about the family in general. I remember a mention of a brother but do not recall hearing a name. Grandmother was Caroline Matusz Jozefczik/yk b. 1886 in Poland, married John Jozefczik/yk,in USA, I think. some of Grandfather's family was still living in Poland near Krakow in 1950-51.

I am working on this name. Not sure if it's
a shortened version, however, my great
-grandmother's maiden name is Matusz.
Her first name is Angela. Her mother's name
is Mary. They all came from Poland, not sure
of the time frame as I have just started this
family tree. Angela was born approx. in 1888
and died 11-13-1977 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Maybe this helps?

Holly please email me at jcgrezlik@bright.net I don't know how much help I can be as I know almost nothing about my Polish lines. I can give you the names of the people and family that attended my grandmothers funeral and you can see if any of them ring a bell.
