george rentz is almost surely the son of George Rentz (b1773) of Barnwell Co SC area. This George was the son of George (1745-c1782), eldest son of immigrant J George Rentz (1710-1769), immigrant from Wurttemburg with his family in 1751 to SC. I have more, and would like to have your complete line of descendnats of George. I am putting together a complete list of Rentz descendants.

I have just retired and am interested in doing some research on my husband's ancestry. He is James Alan Rentz born to Cass Lamar Rentz and Addie Ferguson Rentz of Ruston, La. I understand they came into this country to South Carolina. I would appreicate any help I can get in getting started.

My wife has Rentz ancestors (Anthony, Xavier)that arrived in America in 1831 and some were buried shortly after in Ohio (one son, I believe John Rentz, went to Minn.). They were from Germany (I have birth sites). They changed their name from Runzi to Rentz after arriving (the name change made German records hard to find).
