My great grand parents names were Albert and Helen Wisler. Died in River Rouge, Wayne Co., Michigan on 4-1-35 and 3-9-35 respectively. 3 of their 8 children died in a house fire on 4-9-35. They mystery is that the remaining relative all told me different stories at to our branch of the Wisler family came from. Stories ranged from adopted in BAy City, Michigan (Saginaw Co.) to born in Ohio and part Native American. No documentation for any of this. Can't even find death certificates or the plots where they are supposedly buried. All relative from that side of the family now dead. Where do I look? Anyone ever heard of them or lived near them? Help please!

I have an Anna Wisler married to John Cripe 1831 in Wayne Co. Indiana. Her death certificate states she was born in Pa.

Thanks for the information about your Wisler
connection . Your Anna might be my great-grand
father's sister. I've haven't gotten back that far yet.
with my search. They lived in the Gettysburg
area of Penna before and during the civil war.

Dear Dorothy,

The only thing I know about my Anna is that she married John Cripe in Wayne County In in 1831. Sometime later they moved to Madison Co.In. They had a dau. named Susan in 1838. I'm looking for other info. I'm sure there were other children. My e-mail is zsjmom@aol.com I'd love to hear more.

My Grandfather may be on your list. His name was Cyranius Bradley Wisler born May 1875 in Mumasburg PA. He was one of 13, only 12 survived past age one or two. Of his brothers and sisters, I only know of Charles who lived in State Line PA mail was addressed to Ellerslie MD. Known offspring are Charles II then Charles III and finally Steven. All last known to be in Ellerslie around 1965. Any info that relates would be appreciated. I'm just starting and don't have alot of time to put to this, so it will take many years. Thanks in advance.
