Seeking information on a David Ross WALTER/WALTERS family located near Newmansville, in Green Twp, Forest Co. He was born 10 Jan 1826 & married Lydia Ann EVERHART on 18 May 1853. He may have had brothers Anthony, Jacob, John R, James Henry; definitely had a sister Martha Walter who married Wm HOOD.

David & Lydia's children were: Jenny Walter, b 1855; Rachel Clarissa Walter (ALEXANDER), b 1858; Oris Everett Walter, b 1860, Mary Ruth Walter (HEPLER), b 1861; Martha Ellen Walter (WALTERS), b 1864; Charles David Walter, b 1866; & Ida Mae Walter (McKOWN), b 1870. Ida is my line.

Penelope, hope you still get this. I am working on the Hood family for my children. Know nothing about Martha Walters except birth, death, and children. I did find a Daniel Walters age 38, wife, Rosellah, and 3 children living next to Martha and William Hood in the 1880 Tionesta, Forest Co PA census. Am interest in getting info on Martha's siblings.

Penelope: My ex and my 2 children are descended from Martha Walter b. 16 Apr 1833 in PA, d. 3 June 1883, probably in PA. Martha m. William Hood, son of David Hood and Elizabeth Hasson.

One of William Hood and Martha Walter's children was Samuel Tilden Hood b 22 Nov 1876 in Tionesta, PA, d. 24 May 1947 in PA. Samuel m. Myranda Estelle Johnston. They had a son Harvey Haslet Hood who is the father of my ex. Have the families more complete if you'd like to e-mail me directly.
