im doingt some research of my family history and would like help in finding out some more info
my dads name is Chris D. Dalaba and he has seven brothers and sisters
his mother is Frieda and im sorry butt i cant remember my grandfaters name but he died a few years back
my dads immediate family lives in and or around Syracuse, ny

Do you live in Ohio. If so my brother is Chris D. Dalaba. Our mom is Frieda. My Chris has 2brothers, 3 sisters, 2 1/2 sisters. Were from N.Y. William A. Dalaba b.1799-1859. Have info also from 1799-2002.

my nam is bill dalaba, i live in binghamton,ny and they had a family reunion, which was dalaba`s reunion,but when beth deid they stop having reunion. if you went any information on this i do have list of family and my grandfather was arthur dalaba, cuba, ny. email or contract me. bill dalaba

His name was Lawson Dalaba. Only the first five of the kids are his. Terry, linda, Bonnie, chris, and Carla.
I'm his granddaughter. I'm assuming I know who you are- if I'm right, it's a pity you didn't know him. He truly lived for the grandkids (all 18 and counting!) and treasured each of us. There is at least one (maybe more, he was pretty stoic) grandchild he missed out on. It really bothered him. He loved us all.
Chris (son), Chris' son John B., Carla (daughter), Freida (ex-wife) will have details of the family tree.

What I know:
Lawson was born to a French immigrant schoolteacher (mom) and Italian immigrant (farmer?) father. His parents established a homestead in the Adarondak (spelling?) mountains. Chris Dalaba knows the exact location and is trying to bring it back into the family line.
His father died when he was a baby. His mother remarried and bore at least one other child. She died when he was very, very young.
His mother was buried on top of a mountain. He is buried at her feet as he requested.

He was a sailor in the pacific theater during WWII.
He told the best stories about life in the Adarondaks before there were cars.
