Right off hand I am not sure where Shasta Co.is but there are a few Eddy's in Oregon from Pioneer days and increasing up to today. If you have a date and/or a name, I can look in the library in "land donations" and we have the whole set of census records for Oregon. My Eddy-John EDDY settled in Tillamook around 1900. Then In the "land donation" book, there is a reference to Hiram Eddy. Also there is a town 10 miles from me called Eddyville. Of course you guessed, it was owned by an EDDY. I have lots of Ideas but need a place to start. If you have an Eddy who moved to Oregon and you are not I would be glad to go to the library and look. cathez@teleport.com

My parents and I once visited Eddyville and found that, at the time, there was still an Eddy living there. She, I don't know her name, had a book about the Eddy's, and apparetnly there is an overgrown cemetary of Eddy's there.

Connie,
I appreciate your offcer to help. I am still trying to confirm the following:
1]Isaac Newtown Eddy's birth place and dates
2] His parents birth places and dates.
This would help track them back to Indiana or Ohio or wherever them came from.
Send me an email at eddykk@eoni.com. There is a website just for the Eddys You can find it at www.eddyfamily.com and then go to Eddy Family Genealogy Forum to read/post a message. There are over 650 messages posted there. Thanks again, Ken in Hermiston
