Hello to all FANTROYs!

I am just beginning research on my mother's side of the family. Her maternal GGrandmother was MATILDA FANTROY NEWMAN (b. 1/1862 or 1868 in TX). She was classified a mulatto & was the slave-owner's daughter in TX. She married ISAIAH NEWMAN on 12/21/1879 in Yazoo City, Yazoo Co., MS. One of their daughters, MARY ELLEN NEWMAN, was my GGrandmother (b. 1882 in Yazoo City), who married JESSE ANDERSON IN 1900. Other children of ISAIAH & MATILDA FANTROY NEWMAN were ARRETA (not sure of spelling, male) b. 1883; & HELENA NEWMAN (b.1/1888).

MATILDA FANTROY's birth name could also been COLLINS; just not sure, but records show her surname as FANTROY at the time of her marriage. If anyone knows of these FANTROYs in Yazoo City, originally from TX, please contact me. THANK YOU!

Hello My name is Traci Fantroy and I am the great granddaughter of Fannie Fantroy (b. 12/28/1903) Freestone County, Texas. Her mother was Fannie Dunbar and Her father was James Fantroy (b.11/15/1849) they all were born in Freestone County Texas which seems most Fantroy's come from.
