Graveside service for Betty Marie Speegle, 81, 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Morgan County with Roselawn in Decatur directing. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Speegle died Jan. 5, 2005. She was the widow of Dewey Raymond Speegle.

Graveside service for Betty Marie Speegle, 81, of Canton, Ga., will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at 11 a.m. at Mount Tabor Cemetery in Morgan County with Dr. Fannin officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Speegle died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at Brian Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Orlando, Fla., to Cyrus L. Cox Sr. and Annabell Hopkins Cox. She was a homemaker, an artist, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Raymond Speegle; and one brother, C.L. Cox Jr.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Wallace and her husband, Gene, of Muscle Shoals; one son, Dewey Raymond Speegle Jr. and his wife, Anna, of Dahlonega, Ga.; five grandchildren, Craig Wallace of Florence, Chris and Tracey Wallace of Decatur, Michele and Keith Carter of Canton, Ga., Melanie and Scott Crittenden of Muscle Shoals and Tim and Elizabeth Speegle of Woodstock, Ga.; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley Wallace, Chloe Wallace, Mason Wallace, Caroline Carter and Cole Crittenden.
