I have a Martin JUNKER who emigrated from Germany in 1884. He was born in the early 1860's. He was naturalized in Schenectady, NY in 1892 but made his Declaration of Intent in Pulaski Co., Indiana. The spelling of his name was changed to YUNKER

I am looking for anyone related to Jacob & Charlotte Junker (Yunker). They arrived in New York on April 16, 1873 from Bavaria. They then settled in Evansville, Indiana. Jacob & Charlotte has five children: John, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Jacob and Phillip.

Hi Jeri: This may be a longshot but, did any of your Yunkers live in the East St. Louis, IL area? My Bro-in-law's grandparents were; Jacob Yunker who married Minnie Helbig in Belleville, IL on Dec 7, 1903. Jacob's parents were Jacob Yunker (B-Germany about 1863) and Charlota (Bensby?). I just started to research this family for the benefit of my nephews and niece. If any connection, let me know and maybe we can help one another. Sincerely, Bob Barber

Just saw your message of a year ago. Do you know the names of Jacob Yunker's (Junker) parents? Martin Yunker (Junker) also came from Bavaria - Krombach in Herbipoli (Wurzburg) diocese. I just found where he came from in June so it has opened up a whole new research area. Maybe they are related. My e-mail address is ljy@nycap.rr.com
