I can't find where my grandfather Archibald Steele left Greenoch, Scotland and came to the US in 1912. Any clues where to look?

Find My Past has the UK Departures list 1890-1960. I had a quick look and found 2 possibles.

Arch Steele
b. 1876
Single
Farm Labourer.
Departed Southampton, England, 7th March 1912.
Destination: Portland, Maine, USA.
SS Ausonia.

The only other one was in 1908.
Archibald Steele.

An Archibald Steel [not Steele] departed Glasgow for New York on 12th Apr 1912. He was a miner. Name of the ship was "CAMERONIA". There is an empty space except for a tick in the box where his age should be, as if they are saying his age was the same as the passenger above, which was 28. But the age is uncertain - unusual to have a tick in the age box.

Do you have any idea if he was a miner? If he was then this just might be him.
