Am seeking information on parentage and siblings of William Johnson Hunter (b. 05/17/1813-Buncombe Co., NC -- d. 07/22/1893-Union Co., GA).

Am researching William Johnson Hunter's line and am quite sure his father was John Hunter (b. c1775, VA - d. bet 1840-1850, Union Co., GA). John Hunter appears in census for Buncombe Co, NC in 1800 & 1810 and in census for Union CO., GA in 1834 (special census) & 1840.

To whom was John Hunter married and how many times? - Where was John Hunter from? Who were his parents and siblings?

Does anyone have any source documentation for this John Hunter beyond that found in the censuses (i.e, wills, deeds, court proceedings, tax rolls, etc.?

Has anyone in this line had their DNA typed? If so, which project was chosen for posting the results of the typing?

Appreciate any and all help.

Hi John. I am Sherry Hunter, daughter of Herman Hunter. I'm not sure if we are related but would love to know based on your research who some of your relatives were.

Thanks, Sherry

Sherry

Would be happy to share info with fellow Hunter researchers.

Does you Hunter line (specifically Herman)have connections to North Carolina and North Georgia in the late-1700s through the 1800s ? - and if so what's the connection ?
