Niemstów is a village in the Cieszanów commune, Lubaczów district, podkarpackie county.

Holowaty would be probably Hołowaty and the distribution of that name in Poland is: http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/ho%25C5%2582owaty.htm...

It is common in Sanok, Przeworsk and Jarosław districts. The biggest population is in Sławno district however at the Baltic Sea. This may be caused by the post-war re-settlements of the Rusyns from former Galicia to former West Prussia (Vistula Action in 1947). Hołowaty sounds somehow like a Rusyn name.

Slota would be most probably Słota but this name is fairly popular in Poland and it may be difficult to trace your family. The distribution of Słotas: http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/s%25C5%2582ota.html

Here you are: Magdalena Hołowaty is a 3rd grade pupil at school in Cieszanów: http://www.cieszanow.pl/index.php?option=com_content&vie...

She should speak English as she was a Grand Prix winner in the "Where the River Flows" competition financed from the EU Socrates Commenius program. She presented a multimedia presentation entitled "Where streets have no names": http://www.cieszanow.vel.pl/index.php?option=com_content&...

There is also Marta Hołowaty at the same school...

Surnames: Pytch, Pyrcz, Stanuk, Stanuch
Basing on the pronounciation you are most probably looking for Pyrcz (no Pyrch surname in Polish; 'cz' is pronounced like 'ch' in 'cherry'): http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/pyrcz.html and for Stanuch (no Stanuk surname in Polish; 'ch' is pronounced like 'h' in 'history', which is somehow similar to 'k' at the end of word): http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/stanuch.html

As you see none of those surnames was recorded in the Lubaczów county (where Niemstów is located) recently but they have concentrations in the south-eastern Poland.

Btw. Are you sure you are looking for Niemstów in Lubaczów county (historically Austria-Hungary/Galicia) and not for Niemstów, Lubin county (south-western Poland; historically Germany)?

Thanks for the information...I know the Pyrcz family left Niemstow Galicia in the early 1900s. They moved to Pine Ridge Manatoba Canada...I'm not sure where the Stanick or Stanuch family lived...
