IM looking for a way to find out who James Alvin Hackerott's father was.
I've done everything I can think of ( IM new at this )
This is what I know.
James Alvin Hackerott b. 1949 married 1976 Harris co, Houston, Texas to Barbara McWatters .

If I just had the name of the father I would at least have a starting point, but until then, IM STUCK!

im not sure this is him and his mother and sister,his father was probably in the navy because they go from seattle to philidelphia,pa and then to hawaii in about a 4 year period.edith m. hackerott was born in pennsylvania according to the ship record below and the obituary for mildred norton in the harrisburg,pa news paper list a sister edith m. hackersott of etoile,texas.the first names and middle initials match even living close to each other and marring in texas.

Alvin Hackerott was still alive in 2010! perhaps he's still alive now...?

Google his name and you'll find additional information.

I don't know if this info will help, but Barbara was married before her marriage to James Alvin.

The marriage records list her as Mrs. Barbara M. Marley, living in Friendswood, Texas.

Hays, Kansas (or sometimes another location?) has a "Hackerott Heritage" reunion every year.

Google "Hackerott Heritage" and you'll find several articles. You might be able to track down some of the folks mentioned, too.
