NOTES:

1. This list is taken from the book: COLLIRENE, THE QUEEN HILL by June Middleton Albaugh and Rosa Lyon Traylor.

2. Since the book was published the "Daughters of 1812" have erected a memorial marker to Bryant Spradley who died May 3, 1870. Bryant Spradley is believed to be buried in the cemetery without a gravestone. Bryant Spradley was married to Frances Payne.
[Bryant Spradley was the father of Bryant E. Spradley who married first Amelia Ann Todd and second, Emmaline Todd, both daughters of Willoughby Todd, son of Josiah Todd and his first wife, Nancy Asbell]

3. There are four funeral home markers [metal tags] laying on the ground. The writing is faded and illegible. According to COLLIRENE THE QUEEN HILL they originally marked the graves of "two daughters of John Todd and Eliza Jane Hinton [Odum] and the daughter's husbands who were brothers."
The daughters of John and Eliza were Florence Eugenia Todd who married John Thomas Arnold and Sarah Jane Todd who married Robert A. Arnold.

4. Zilpha Thomas [1794-1871], 2d wife of Josiah Todd, is believed to be buried at Bethany without a marker. Willoughby Todd [son of Josiah and his first wife Nancy Asbell] and his wife Eliza (?) may also be buried there.

Any additions, comments or corrections to the above list would be appreciated.

Searching for a list of burials at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery at Collirene, Lowndes Co. This cemetery dates from about 1830, and I suspect many graves are unmarked-- particularly from 1860-1870. If you know of a record of burials at Bethany, please respond. Thanks.
