I am doing am article on skrimish in Beech Creek, WV.
There was a Thomas Lamb member of the 4th WV Infantry killed in this fight with the 34th Virginia Calavry lead by Vicecent A. Witcher. His Mother filed for he pension, age at death should be about 23-26 years old . Is someone missing this soldier from there family record. He joined the Union Army in Wheeling WV. I am trying to tie up some lose ends about Thomas Lamb, would take pointers to the right way to solve this.

Do you have any information on him? My gggranfather Patrick Lamb came to this country sometime in the 1850s and we think he had a brother Thomas but are not sure. Was this Thomas Irish? Let me know. My ggg settled in Trenton, NJ for twenty years of so and then moved to MN.

Hi, did you ever find the answer to Thomas Lamb? I have a Thomas Lamb in my family tree born 1838 in Ireland. I have him living in County Durham, England until 1861 but have lost him after that. Do you know when your Thomas enlisted? And do you have the name of his mother?
