I am trying to find information on the Taillon family who moved from Fort Covington, NY to Glengarry county mid 1880s early 1890s. Nelson TAILLON married Amelia SAUVE on 11 January 1875 in Ft Covington. They moved to Glengarry after the birth of their fourth child and took up farming. The family moved to Temiskaming Ontario in February 1909. Their son Joseph TAILLON returned to Glengarry and presumably raised a family. I have no further data on him. Their daughter Annie TAILLON married John BREBEAU(sp) and lived in the Cornwall area, probably Lancaster. They had at least one child William BREBEAU.(sp) Any information on these families would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks again, Allen, for the tip. I got the book and found several family members I had not been able to locate previously. Sadly it didn't give any information on Nelson TAILLON. I guess he must have come from a UFO.

My husbands family (mother's side) was named Taillon, from
Canada. I wonder if you might be able to look in the book
and see if a Minnie May Roots-Taillon was mentioned. I do
not have location, or birth/death dates, but would like them
if you have info. in the book. God bless-Anne
P. S. -I also have a Pierre Taillon.

I looked in the book on Taillons but can not find a woman with a maiden name of Root. There are four Pierre:
1800-1801
1825
1816-1896
One has no dates and one has birth date only.
Would you like the info on them?
