My mother is a Ford from Catahoula parish. I was named after my great-great grandfather "Tim Elijah Ford" looking for dates, relatives and info on whether or not
any family members served in the war of northern aggression.

I have a (Benjamin) Franklin Ford who was born 31 Oct 1841 in Union parish, LA. Might this be your Franklin? If so, I have a lot of detail on his parents, etc.

I have found a little more data, since I originally posted this.
Benjamin Franklin Ford
b. April 09, 1847 Sabine Parish, Louisiana
m. March 09, 1866 Sabine Parish, Louisiana to Meriah or Marie Purcell
d. October 23, 1923 Lordsburg, Hidalgo, New Mexico
I think his parents are John Wesley Ford and Martha O'Neal.
Benjamin and Meriah's children were:
1. John H. Ford b. Jan 10 1867
2. Benjamin Franklin Ford b. Mar 19 1868
3. Martha Ann Malinda Ford b. Jan 10 1870
4. Wesley Jul 25 1872
5. Absolum Mar 5 1874
6. Elijah "Elija" Dec 9 1875
7. James Calvin Nov 19 1877
8. Rosa Bell Sep 29 1879
9. Cynthia Evelin Jun 14 1881
10. Enoch Marvin Jul 14 1885
11. Lela Zelona Apr 4 1889

Does any of this fit in to what you have?

No, the Sabine parish Fords are a different group. Thanks for your quick reply. My Benjamin Franklin Ford was a son of Alfred and Nancy Needham Ford of Union parish, LA, both of whom died by 1866. This son seems to have disappeared into the countryside.
