I found some roots of my family (Feiten) in Bengel (near Trier / Germany) and I know, that some parts of this families emmigratet to the states (WI).
Does anyone know immigrants with the surname Feiten (or Feithen) from Bengel (Germany) who arrived in the states in the 1830's or 1840's ?

If this is the Feiten family you are seeking, there should be more information at the Hartford History Room in Hartford, Washington County, Wisconsin.

If anyone is still researching the Feiten name in Wisconsin, there are entries for Caspar, Helen, and Magdalena Feiten in the index of German newspapers published in Milwaukee.

My GGrandfather is a Feithen. He was orphaned at an early age and we have been searching (rather fruitlessly) for his parents. Have you heard any stories floating around? Any info would be helpful. He was born in New York in 1881.
Thank you.
