I have found a copy of the 1900 census for Indian Territory, Chickasaw Nation on Family Search Record Search, but I can't find this on Ancestry. Does anyone know how I can find it? I tried to browse the 1900 census for Oklahoma, but they ask you to browse by county (no listing for Chickasaw Nation). Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Okay, I figured it out. I looked at the image on Family Search & see the family. Perfectly legible on this site. However, the image on Ancestry is blackened on the bottom. There is no trace of this family. Must have been a VERY poor scanning job, considering the other one is so crisp. You don't want to search Oklahoma. To see the image, do this:

Go to the 1900 census.
Type in the name "John Akess". (His name's really Akers, but, whatever)
Go to Indian Territory.
Type in Chickasaw (County), 3 (Township).

The Bibb's are supposed to be the visit after John.

Thanks for this - it helped me find someone for whom I'd been searching for the last two years.
