Surnames: Dahms, White
I am looking for relatives. My father was Charles Dahms(deceased 1993). One of 7 children born to Howard Dahms(deceased) and Rose(nee White) Dahms (deceased 1985). They lived in Philadelphia. Names of other children are Howard (deceased-WWII fatality), Richard (deceased-died in his 20's) Dorthea (deceased-died at 2 yrs), George (deceased 1995), Eileen (deceased 1996), Donald and John. My grandfather was a park guard for the city of Philadelphia. I know he had brothers but do not know any of their names. If anyone has information please contact me at dj58smith@aol.com

Jen,
After reading your last posted message I realized that we are talking about 2 different families. Your grandfathers brothers are not the same as my uncles names. However, there must be some connection as there are not that many people with the last name of Dahms in the Philadelphia area.

Since there weren't many Philly Dahms:

I have a Conrad Dahms born in 1827 in Germany. Married to Mary (Nee Unknown) born in 1837 in Germany. Conrad was a Huckster (got me?) and lived on Gaul St. in Philadelphia in 1880. Their children were: Annie, Conrad, Mary, Ernest, and Martin all born in the 1860's.

Annie (b. 1869) married William Ross Smith (b. 1866). Hence my last name.

Sound familiar to anyone?

Hi Cousin Todd!

That would be my great great grandfather. His son was my great grandfather Ernest and my grandfather Howards father. My father was Charles Dahms who is Howards son. If you look on the tree of Sanabor Dahms you will see our family tree. I am trying to find out where in Germany Conrad and Mary where from.
Any leads?

Thanks

Trudy

Hello, I'm looking for information, photos, etc of Howard Dahms, killed in WWII. I have extensive knowledge of the battle, and the incident where he was killed on October 18th, 1944.

Please see Sanobar Dahms. Our family tree is listed there. Trying to locate pictures of Howard. We do have information regarding the battle that we found on a website. Are you related to the Dahms family? Howard was my father's oldest brother.
