Im trying to find out what railroad line went from the Port of New york to Dertroit bet. 1900-1920. Im not sure if there was a straight line from one to the other or they would have had to make some change overs along the way. If any one knows how the Railroads ran back then and could help me out would be a great help. Also if anyone would know on how to get the passanger records for this time frame would help out too.

Thanks, Tony Turini

I worked from 1943 to 1959 on the RR, but as for passenger list, I do not know of any that were recorded. The RR did not have list like the Steamboats and Airlines. To ride a RR as a passenger, you bought your ticket and then boarded the train. No one knew you unless you introduced yourself to somone. It operated just like the subways in NYC== I'm in GA.
Good Luck.
